E46 M3 Upgrades: Reliability First, Then Suspension, Exhaust and Handling
Every E46 M3 is now at least twenty years old. Before springs, headers or wheels, deal with the S54's known weak points: rod bearings, VANOS and the rear subframe mounting area. Here's the order we'd follow, and where the sources disagree.
